Japan 2002
At the end of my computer science studies, just after the distribution of the diplomas, I left Zürich for 2 weeks to travel across Japan. Here a small summary in photographs. Flight from Zürich Kloten to Tokyo Narita Airport
Rainy day -> Subway and Museums: Western Art, Natural History, MET, National Museum. Then: Ginza, Sony Building, Shibuya
Akihabara (Electrical Town), Tokyo Tower, Cinema in Ginza
Tokyo Station, Imperial Park, MoMA, Shinkuku, Governement Towers, Sushi
First Railpass Trip Day: Tokyo -> Shinjo -> Tazawako (around 800km North
of Tokyo).
Walk in Tazawako: lake, ski-station, onsen; Shinkansen trip to Kyoto, Kyoto Tower
Kyoto City by Bike :-)
Temples, Nijo Castle, short trip to Osaka and Kobé.
Imperial Palace in Kyoto, and then back in train to reach Beppu (South Japan)
Kyoto->Beppu (day8), Beppu and its Hells, sand bath on the beach...
Mt. Aso: active volcano with ropeway. Then train trip: Aso -> Hakata -> Osaka -> Takamatsu.
Takamatsu by day, and trip back to Tokyo with a stop in Nagano.
Tokyo: shopping, visit to friends, kendo, and div. things.
Last day in Tokyo, Akihabara, Imperial Palace Garden, walk in the city...
Tokyo -> Narita -> Zürich: goodbye Japan, and thanks for the nice trip! :-)
